Michael Gofeld

Dr. Gofeld has 23 years of experience in interventional pain practice and comprehensive pain management. He earned a PhD in Spinal Sonography and has authored 55 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters. He launched Ontario's first collaborative interventional pain program for cancer patients, directed clinical operations at the Center for Pain Relief at the University of Washington, and helped establish the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute (TAPMI).
He has served as an Advisor on Chronic Pain at the Department of Anesthesia and Vice-Chair of the Chronic Pain Registry Committee for the Ontario Ministry of Health. Academically, he was an associate professor at the University of Toronto, founded the Canadian Interventional Special Interest Group, developed the first CME program for pain physicians in Canada, and created the first certification in interventional pain ultrasound. He is currently a Director at the World Academy of Pain Medicine United and works with a multidisciplinary team at Revolution Health.
